Cervia pays tribute to Emilio Sartini with the Memorial Sailing Event
Cervia honours Emilio Sartini, a key figure in local maritime tradition and the “father” of all Passatore boats, with the 6th edition of the Memorial Sailing Event dedicated to him.
A master shipwright and Honorary President of the Circolo Nautico Amici della Vela Cervia, Sartini left a lasting legacy in nautical craftsmanship, building numerous boats, including the renowned Passatore: an 8.40-metre sloop designed by French naval architect J.M. Finot in 1971, widely known in Italy and abroad.
The event unfolds over two days, celebrating community spirit and a passion for the sea: an evening gathering with live music, followed by a sailing event open to all boats, sharing the authentic spirit of sailing and togetherness.
