80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Cervia
In Cervia a programme full of initiatives to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the city's Liberation (22 October 1944-22 October 2026).
Many events to remember and reaffirm together the values of freedom and peace.
On Sunday 25th October in Piazza Garibaldi, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the highlight of the celebrations will be held: the great historical-educational re-enactment of the ‘Liberation of Cervia’ with vehicles and vehicles dating back to World War II and period crews organised by the ‘Gotica Romagna’ Association.

Cycling tour with wreath-laying at the Cervia Pinarella War Memorials
Organized by the "Aquilotti" cycling group with the participation of students from the "Grazia Deledda" primary school.
In case of rain, the event will be postponed to October 22nd.

Opening of the group exhibition "Women of the Resistance"
Curated by the "Menocchio" cultural association.
The exhibition will remain open until November 2nd, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

Meeting point at the Romagna Gothic Column with breakfast provided by the Proloco Riviera dei Pini.
10.00 am - Cervia, Piazza Garibaldi
Gotica Romagna. Educational historical reenactment of the Liberation of Cervia
With vehicles and equipment dating back to World War II and period crews. The event features period vehicles such as tracked vehicles, armored vehicles, ambulances, jeeps, and motorcycles. A fascinating narrated reconstruction of the historical events will also be provided during the entrance of the figures and vehicles that will park in Piazza Garibaldi for the public display.
The "Gotica Romagna" Association researches, protects, promotes, and enhances the artistic and historical sites and artifacts in the area dating back to the Second World War. It also promotes educational and cultural events to preserve historical memory.

Cervia City Band Concert
The band's traditional concert opens the Romagna Gothic Column parade.
At 10:30 a.m., the procession begins for the laying of wreaths at the gravestones in the historic center.
