50 km di Romagna
An event that attracts thousands of participants every year, including those returning to improve their performance and those choosing for the first time to test themselves over a distance that leaves no room for improvisation.
Besides the race itself, there is another element that adds further significance to participation each year.
The 50 Km di Romagna is one of the three stages of the Romagna Triptych, along with the Lamone Marathon and the Passatore 100 Km: three iconic races of the region, spread between April and May, which form a unique route for those who love long-distance challenges, with a final ranking that does not require a dedicated registration: simply completing all three events is enough to be included.
The start and finish are located in Castel Bolognese. The race begins in Piazza Bernardi, following the Senio Valley and passing through Riolo Terme, Borgo Rivola, and Casola Valsenio. It then climbs to Montalbano, approximately halfway along the route. This is followed by a descent to Zattaglia (a hamlet of Brisighella) and the return through the Sintria River Valley, passing through the villages of Villa Vezzano and Tebano, finally reaching the finish line in Piazza Bernardi.
