Giardini d’Autore d’autunno comes to Castello Benelli

Giardini d’Autore takes on the colours of autumn and moves to a new venue. On Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September, the event dedicated to greenery, botany and landscape design comes to Castello Benelli for the first time – a historic residence nestled in the countryside of Bellaria Igea Marina.

This choice marks a new chapter in the event’s history. Whilst spring continues to blossom in the heart of Rimini, the autumn edition finds its home in a place where nature, architecture and history converge.

Castello Benelli is a 19th-century residence that has been restored to return the area’s cultural, architectural and landscape heritage to the local community. The historic garden, with its monumental trees, rose garden and ancient stables, is now part of the Grandi Giardini Italiani network and becomes an integral part of the Giardini d’Autore experience.

For two days, the castle will welcome nursery growers from across Italy, botanical collections, craftspeople and designers, alongside workshops, talks and events dedicated to local flavours.

An opportunity to discover autumn plants and blooms, meet those who work with greenery every day and be inspired by ideas for gardens and nature, whilst strolling through a place normally off the beaten track along the coast.

With over twenty years of history behind it, Giardini d’Autore promotes a culture of greenery by forging connections between people, landscapes and knowledge. With its arrival at Castello Benelli, this story enters a new setting and a new chapter, whilst maintaining the same focus on beauty and on showcasing the region’s botanical and cultural heritage.
