Direct train from Munich to the Italian Riviera
The Munich-Rimini train is waiting for you!
From April 2 to October 3, 2026, a daily train connection between Munich and the Romagna Riviera will be available.
One train per day for about six months, with several stops: in Austria (Innsbruck) and then in Italy, including Bologna, Cesena, Rimini, Riccione and Cattolica.
The connection is operated by the German railways DB and the Austrian railways ÖBB using the new RailJet New Generation trains, state-of-the-art trains that combine speed and comfort.
They are equipped with Wi-Fi, a multifunctional carriage with accessible seating for passengers with disabilities, and dedicated spaces for strollers, bicycles and sports equipment. Passengers can also enjoy onboard catering, including a restaurant and three snack areas.
The train departs from Munich in the morning and arrives in Rimini in the afternoon.
Rimini railway station is about 30 km from Cervia. From there, you can take a regional train that will bring you to Cervia–Milano Marittima station in about 30 minutes.
