Tennis in Bianco & Legno 19-23 August - Registration for the tournament-exhibition

Bianco & Legno (White & Wood) is the vintage tennis tournament-exhibition played on red clay, strictly in a white suit with old wooden rackets.

The event takes place from 19 to 23 August simultaneously in all the tennis clubs: C. T. Lungomare Tennis, C. T. Ten Pinarella, C. T. Mare Pineta, C. T. Polisportiva 2000, C. T. Cervia-Milano Marittim, C.T. "A. Godo" Cesenatico, C.T. "Zavaglia" Ravenna, C.T. Forum Forlì.

RULES
Mixed doubles/doubles tennis tournament/exhibition played with Wood rackets and strictly White clothing.
The tournament will be played at night, except for organisational needs.

1) All persons of either sex who have started playing tennis with a wooden racket may participate.
2) Younger players are only allowed to participate if paired with a family member who has the characteristics of point (1).
3) The pair may also consist of players with the following classifications:
    (3/5-Nc) (4/1-4/6) (4/2-4/5) (4/3-4/4).

The tournament takes place in two phases: qualification with an Italian-style three-pair draw, and two knockout draw (A and B).
All pairs qualify and the two knock-out drawboards (A and B) will be formed.
Inclusion in the draw (A or B) is determined by the placing obtained in the qualifying rounds.

Matches in the qualifying tables are played with two long tie-breaks at 15:00, with tie-breakers at 14:00.
Each tie-break won is worth one point, so the match can also end in a 1a1 draw.
The ranking in the Italian draw is determined by the sum of the points (tie-breaks) won.

In the event of two pairs tied on points, the direct confrontation applies.
In the event of three pairs with equal points, the ranking is determined by counting points won and lost.
Tie-break scoring is also used in knock-out tables, with the difference that two tie-breaks are played out of three with 10 points, with a tie-break point at 10-all.


Participants are informed that the spirit of the event is not purely competitive.
