Across Time
Across Time is a swimming competition and event aimed at raising awareness of environmental protection and marine life. The initiative was founded by Andrea Pelo Di Giorgio, inspired by his love for the sea and his desire to protect it, and today involves an ever-growing community.
The common goal of each participant is to exceed the pre-set swimming hours together and give substance to a shared commitment to the environment. Participants can swim whenever they wish over the eight days within a course marked by three buoys; for every hour of swimming, €5 will be donated to Sea Shepherd Italia to support the Ghostnet Campaign, which recovers ghost nets and combats marine poaching and illegal fishing.
Across Time is not just a swimming event but an experience that combines sport, entertainment and environmental awareness, a collective journey through time for the sea.
To participate, you can sign up on site or here. The registration fee includes an "event pack" with an event T-shirt, a certificate showing the total number of hours swum during the event, and free use of the Across Me safety buoy.
