Milano Marittima Jazz Festival

Great jazz returns to Milano Marittima with the 5th edition of the Jazz Festival: two evenings of free music among stages, streets, and great international artists on 18th and 19th July, continuing on 12th and 13th August.

Three exceptional locations, the Rotonda Primo Maggio, Viale Matteotti and Viale Gramsci, will host concerts and performances for the occasion.

The July programme opens with Dino Gnassi Corporation with the extraordinary participation of Ronnie Jones. The programme continues with The Funky Corporation, an energetic and spectacular marching band, capable of making the audience dance with a repertoire ranging from jazz, soul, and vintage Italian swing, revisited in an ironic key.

For the second evening, the eclectic artist Greg is the protagonist together with the Big Fat Band directed by Massimo Pirone, for an orchestral tribute to the great silent films and swing of the 1930s; it continues with the extraordinary voice of Joyce Yuille & The Jammers, between soul, gospel and auteur blues, not to be missed The Sailors, an original and elegant band, with a sound that blends jazz, improvisation and black music.

The Festival continues in August with Fiordaliso (12th August) and James Thompson (13th August).
