Qui, altrove. Omaggio a Ermes Bajoni
From April 5 to June 15, 2025, the Museo Civico delle Cappuccine in Bagnacavallo
- just a few kilometers from Ravenna - will host the exhibition “QUI, ALTROVE. Omaggio a Ermes Bajoni”.
The exhibition honors Ermes Bajoni, a distinguished artist from Bagnacavallo, former director of the Museo Civico delle Cappuccine, and one of the key figures behind the founding of the Gabinetto delle Stampe Antiche e Moderne, now acclaimed both nationally and internationally.
Recognized as one of the most significant contemporary Italian printmakers, Bajoni is best known for his work in etching, a technique that perfectly suited his sensitivity and personal vision of the world. Over the course of his career, he created around 300 plates. His work blends subtle irony with social commentary, ranging from critiques of contemporary society to evocative explorations of childhood and nostalgia.
In addition to his graphic works, the exhibition features a selection of paintings. It also marks the first event of the Biennale_OFF programme, a series of initiatives leading up to the 4th Biennale d'Incisione “Giuseppe Maestri”.
