St Stephen's Trophy
The traditional St Stephen's Trophy, a single and double canoe race, takes place on 26 December.
The route starts at the San Michele Tower, the meeting point, and goes up the harbour channel to the Salina and on along the Pineta.
Along the way, you will admire the San Michele Tower, the Salt Warehouses, the crib on the water, the mountains of salt towering in the Salina, the water lifting pumps, the locks and the pine forest.
Reaching the finish line, a moment of refreshment with an at the Canoe Kayak Club with prize-giving for the various categories: first classified single and double canoe, the youngest and the oldest crew and the first classified female crew. This will be followed by a moment of refreshment with a plate of pasta and beans.
The race is open to all canoe lovers who want to have fun in company and experience an exciting winter outing.
To participate, one must register by calling the Canoe Kayak Club 333 9949985.
The club provides single and double canoes and kayaks.
Meeting point at 9 a.m. at the Torre San Michele in Cervia.
