The Giro d'Italia arrives in Cervia

The Giro d'Italia 2026, one of the most iconic and popular international road cycling events, is preparing to return with its 109th edition. Cervia will take centre stage on Sunday 17th May, with the start of the ninth stage, confirming once again its connection with this great sporting tradition.

The stage marks the return of the pink caravan to the city after the 2020 experience. A fascinating journey that starts in Cervia and then heads inland, crossing picturesque landscapes until it reaches Corno alle Scale, the highest peak in the Bolognese Apennines.

The event in the city will see the start area set up in Piazza Andrea Costa, before continuing along Provincial Road 254 via Salara, where km 0 is set in Località Tantlon.

A spectacular and challenging route for one of the most eagerly awaited sporting events of the year.
