Argillà – Italia 2026
Founded in 2008 as a spin-off of the French "mother" event Argilla—held in Aubagne, near Marseille—Argillà Italia has since become one of Europe's leading ceramics festivals.
From September 4th to 6th, 2026, it returns to Faenza, the world capital of ceramics, whose name Faïence is synonymous with majolica.
A long weekend to spend strolling through the streets of the historic center, among the stands of ceramists from all over Europe, and visiting the numerous exhibitions organized in the city.
Argillà Italia also features numerous collateral events in other locations around the city, with private and public spaces opening their doors to the public for the occasion with events and exhibitions, in a sort of off-the-beaten-path circuit.
The 200 selected ceramists and "technical" exhibitors come from all over the world.
The Argillà Italia festival also hosts events and performances, including the Mondial Tornianti (world pottery wheel championship "L'Oro del Vasaio"), spectacular ceramic firings in outdoor kilns, demonstrations, workshops, and children's activities.
