Il sonno della ragione
From 30 August to 21 September 2025, the "Stazione Aperta" hall of Cervia Railway Station will host Il sonno della ragione (The Sleep of Reason), a solo exhibition by Cesena-based artist Luciano Paganelli. The title is inspired by Francisco Goya's famous engraving and, as in the original work, urges us to remain alert.
Through an intense confrontation with art history, Paganelli constructs a powerful and disturbing visual narrative, in which references to Friedrich, Géricault, Delacroix, Daumier and other great masters become acute tools for reflecting on the present. Wars, migrations, climate crises, unfulfilled revolutions: each work is a fragment of denunciation, a poetic 'j'accuse' that challenges the viewer to look to the future with renewed awareness.
The opening will take place on Saturday 30 August at 5.30 pm.
