Exhibition The Hague Air Gallery – Painted Wind
At the Magazzino del Sale Torre in Cervia, a preview of the Artevento International Kite Festival features the exhibition “The Hague Air Gallery – Painted Wind,” dedicated to the Netherlands and selected by ARTEVENTO International Kite Festival to open its 46th edition.
For the first time in Italy, the exhibition presents an extraordinary collection of 17 Japanese Edo-style kites painted by Dutch artists. First flown on the beach of Scheveningen (The Hague) in 1987, the collection retraces the origins of a project destined to have a decisive impact on the international art scene, fostering the development of a branch of environmental art that identifies the wind as its interlocutor, creating a new dynamic relationship between artwork, nature and spectator.
A unique experience for the public, where the history of wind art meets the present and where the sky—long a symbol of freedom—once again becomes a shared space of creativity, dialogue and unity among different cultures.
