Artevento Cervia - International Kite Festival
One of the most eagerly awaited spring events is back: the ARTEVENTO International Kite Festival, now in its 47th year.
From 23rd April to 2nd May, Pinarella di Cervia beach will become an open-air stage for over 200 artists from more than 50 countries, ready to fill the sky with colour with their artistic, ethnic and giant kites. The programme also includes acrobatic displays, workshops, live music and a food area.
What’s New for 2027:
- Collaboration with Guatemala: In partnership with the Ministry of Culture’s Central Institute for Intangible Heritage (MIC) and the University of Perugia, a cultural exchange project has been launched, focusing on the tradition of Barriletes Gigantes – the majestic ceremonial kites made of tissue paper and bamboo.
- Partnership with Colombia: The ongoing collaboration with the Colombian team BIMANA is being renewed and projected into the future. This partnership will bring to life an exclusive project involving a major international organisation.
- The Kite Museum in Forlì: Development is underway for the opening of the first "Kite Museum and Wind Art Documentation Centre". The project aims to enhance the ARTEVENTO brand to promote off-season tourism. The facility will boost exhibition and educational activities, celebrating the link between kite-flying and the Emilia-Romagna Region through a fruitful dialogue between the coast and the hinterland.
