Cervia
Saltworker for a day
A special day discovering the salt tradition with the salt workers of the historic Salina Camillone, the open-air section of MUSA – Salt Museum.
During the experience, participants will have the opportunity to take part in the salt harvesting and extraction activities, working alongside the salt workers in the different phases of the process, from collection to transport. A unique chance to step into the role of a salt worker, even if just for a day, and discover up close the centuries-old tradition behind the production of Cervia’s famous “sweet salt.”
Immersed in the evocative atmosphere of the Cervia salt pans, participants will enjoy an authentic experience combining nature, history, and local culture. Stories, curiosities and anecdotes will be shared directly by those who have lived and still preserve this ancient tradition.
