Zitella Cake in feast
An evening dedicated to taste and music marks the return of the Festa della Torta della Zitella. The local bakeries come together, combining tradition and expertise to create a special cake, aiming to break a new record and celebrate a beloved symbol of the community.
In the setting of the Riviera dei Pini, music also takes center stage thanks to performances by artists from Cervia, who continue to engage and captivate audiences with lively and heartfelt shows.
The Zitella Cake: a unique and original dessert
It is a dessert made with almond flour and pine nuts, layered with sponge cake soaked in Alchermes liqueur and blackberry jam.
The cake was created by students and teachers of the Tonino Guerra Hospitality Institute in Cervia as a traditional dessert for the Sposalizio del Mare festival.
