RE_SALT: rinvenimenti di sale
This year's History of Design course focuses on the theme of SALT SHAKERS. The aim is to analyse and create critical reports on historical salt shakers, studying existing models in design. The work concludes with the design of new salt shakers, partly inspired by previous models.
Everything takes place in the salt warehouse where RE_SALT. Rinvenimenti di sale, acts as a bridge between warehouse, museum and design studio. The Alessi Museum is another pillar of this process, which transforms design into product.
In this collaboration between the Academy of Fine Arts, MUSA and the Alessi Museum, RE_SALT becomes a meeting point between memory, experimentation and production, combining civic and corporate museum practices through academic training.
