Pinarella
Cuttlefish Fair
It is not spring without the Pinarella Cuttlefish Festival, now in its 24th edition.
The event, organised every year in March by the association Antichi Sapori di Romagna, opens the doors to the warm season with delicious traditional dishes from Cervia.
This is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for lovers of the flavours of the sea to taste local specialities, including risotto alla marinara, cuttlefish kebabs, mixed fried fish, spaghetti with the scent of the sea, and cuttlefish and peas, a typical Romagna dish. You can also rediscover some now-forgotten recipes, such as cuttlefish stew and eels in brodetto.
All dishes are prepared strictly by hand, according to the secrets of tradition, handed down from generation to generation and still jealously guarded in household recipe books.
