Genius and Youth

On Monday 4 August, the Cathedral of Cervia will host a classical music concert entitled Genio e Gioventù (Genius and Youth) by the Young Musicians European Orchestra Quartet and Mattia Masini on guitar. 
 
The programme offers a refined dialogue between tradition and modernity: it opens with the 'Quintet for Strings and Guitar' by 30-year-old composer Giacomo Susani, in its Italian premiere, followed by Luigi Boccherini's famous 'Fandango', a brilliant piece with lively influences from Spanish folk music. The star of the evening is Forlì-born guitarist Mattia Masini, accompanied by four extraordinary soloists from the Young Musicians European Orchestra: violinists Emanuele Andreatta and Martino Colombo, violist Davide Navelli and cellist Anastasia Rollo.
